Whether young or old, a traditional or contemporary worshiper, and/or a liberal or a conservative in theology and/or social issues, Marietta First Baptist has an open seat for everyone.

  I have grown up in this Church.. since 1961!! I left in 1982 and returned 2002. I know Jesus' love and I have joy. In appx. 1982, I moved away from Marietta GA , to NYC. I attended services at various Churches from 1982- 2000. Of course, I attended Christmas services with my family. It seemed that each time I attended, the Church had become more loving and always accepting of me! Now, in 2016, I attend as much as possible. My husband and I were married there in 2010. I sang in the choir in 2004-2006 and had a blast! There REALLY is something for every age. Remember this: Churches aren't buildings... Churches are people. And people need you! FBCM has a SUPER caring minister Dr. Bill Ross and music minister. People stay at 1st Baptist and I will personally show you around, if you want to visit. Dr. Ross has raised so much money to pay for water in India . He is quietly successful. He and the staff always make time for listening, smiling and the needy.   First Baptist Church of Marietta is a wonderful place to worship and community of believers. From Sunday school classes to worship services, you won't be disappointed. Dr. Bill Ross is very relatable and his messages connect with audiences of all ages. If you're looking for a church family, look no further.

  This is a group of believers attempting to show the love of Christ in the local community and beyond. A number of church programs reach out to teach English, feed the homeless, repair local homes, fund water wells in India and much more. The traditional 11 o'clock worship service has a contemplative tone with rich choral and orchestral music while a more contemporary style service featuring a worship band meets at 8:30.
